The Swan Kingham Quay
An easy 15minite cycle run along the picturesque banks of the Nith, the Swan at Kingom Quay is an absolute must. Great pub food at very reasonable prices, excellent real ale and a large beer garden over looking the Quayside, if you don’t try this one you’re simply not trying! Cycle home over the new cycle bridge, and enjoy the scenery.
The Devorgilla
This is your local simple traditional pub a short stroll from the coach house through the museum gardens.
The Ship Inn
Traditional real ale pub, ten minute walk across the Nith heading for the Hospital, the Ship inn is a gem. Try the old fashioned Skittles and the beer of course.
The Robert The Bruce
Well the name says it all ! Set across the main bridge in the town centre this recently refurbished hostelry is worth a look.

Il Fumier Pizzeria
World class Italian quizine, honestly you could be there! 5 minute walk from the coach house, over the nith towards the dock park, you will find Il
Fiume. Tucked away private and secluded, pizza doesn’t come any better than this.
Hulabballo
Within the Burns Centre The Hullaballoo is top nosh highly recommended
Mabie House Hotel Mabie Forest
5 minutes Drive 15 Minutes cycle run from the coach house
This beautiful country house hotel offers excellent pub grub and beer. Set in the Mabie forest you just cant beet it, evening food Sunday lunch take your pick. |
